Jill of Homemade by Jill blog just finished this excellent quilt pieced from and backed with upcycled shirts from her dear one’s closet! Jill says she plans to hang it in her nursery where “it will be perfect for holding small supplies, stuffed animals, etc.” Brilliant! She also points out that this is her rendition of a Martha Stewart project, and the pattern is available on Martha’s site.

For years, now, my friend Kimberly has been a swap goddess. I watch from a slight distance as she adeptly invites, organizes, and conducts craft swaps with cyber friends from around the globe. Some of her swap buddies have become her personal friends over time.

Ellen of The Long Thread blog has opened a new Etsy shop, where she’s featuring her designs for machine embroidery. Like casserole and Elegant Snobbery, Ellen enjoys adapting designs created by her preschooler.
