    As a reaction to the growing problem of text spam, T-Mobile has added phone number-level blocking to its My T-Mobile service. The service allows you to add filters to incoming messages and prevent certain numbers from sending SMSes or emailing your @tmomail address.

    Yahoo is soon to start accepting Sender Score Certified via Return Path! Yahoo using Sender Score Certified whitelist and Return Path was quietly made public in January 2008, “Yahoo! is implementing the scheme and will begin checking using it sometime in spring.” We have not heard much since.

    MySpace has won a legal battle, against spammers Sanford Wallace and Walter Rines, according to an AP report. The battle ended in a $234 million judgment by a Las Angles court, ruling against some of the most notable spammers, thanks to their antics on popular social networking site MySpace, and even some massive spamming campaigns throughout the 1990s.

    Is Email Marketing Dead?

    Probably one of the mainstays on the Internet has always been email marketing. Is email marketing dead though? I guess alot of that depends on who you ask. Many marketers are reporting that email marketing is dead. Now I don’t know about that, but one thing for sure it sure has changed over the last few years.

INSERT, the Information Security Research Team, has created proof, which uncovers a “trust hierarchy” that exists between e-mail and the servers they travel through.   INSERT successfully sent out 4000 messages from a Gmail account in a relatively short period of time, much like spammers.
