    U.S. Heading for Double-Digit Inflation

    http://www.buzzflash.net/ story.php?id=51871

Like the Burns Fed of the 1970s, the Bernanke Fed is trying to avert a chain reaction of failures. Like the decision-makers under Burns, the team under Bernanke is talking the talk of moderation, while walking the walk of inflation. Can't they add up the numbers? Don't they see the handwriting on the wall? Maybe, maybe not.

    http://www.thehotjoints.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ xbox-and-hookers-the-coolest-kid-in-a…

The story of young Ralph Hardy just might be the greatest story ever. 13-year old Ralph Hardy is without a doubt the coolest kid at his school and maybe even the coolest kid in America. The Texas teenager took it upon himself to order an extra credit card from his dad’s existing credit card account, then treated himself and his friends to an orgy of shopping to the tune of $30,000.

Ed 'Mugabe' Stelmach laying the groundwork

    http://www.ideas-issues.com/ 2008/ 05/ ed-mugabe-stelm.html

I recently mused about how much longer it would be before Stelmach started "disappearing" political opponents and dissidents. Given the tone and language currently employed by Alberta's top pig farmer, er, premier, it is not far-fetched to assume that the "disappearing" will soon commence: Premier Ed
