Cape Town, South Africa, 5 June 2008 – The private sector is poised to play a growing role to help Africa become more competitive and forge international alliances that extend beyond the customary handouts that have long characterized the region’s relationship with rich countries.

Pakistan has been ranked at 89th position in terms of network readiness out of the 127 countries by The World Economic Forum Global Information Technology Report 2008. The Competitiveness Support Fund (CSF), a partner institute of the World Economic Forum (WEF), published the report on Wednesday.
