2012

December 21, 2012 marks the end of the ancient Mayan calendar and many people believe that the end of the world will occur at that time. However, people have been predicting the end of the world on and off for thousands of years and we are still here. Others, like William Henry, say it brings new metaphysical energy that will give each of us an opportunity to raise consciousness and perhaps have a view into other dimensions.

Certainly, some physical things will occur on that date, including a special galactic alignment of the earth with the sun and the galactic center. Scientists differ on what this will mean; everything from just an interesting visual phenomenon to the impetus for the earth’s magnetic pole flipping.

It’s extremely unclear which scientists or visionaries will be vindicated, but for those of us that are lovers of our magnificent planet, it will be an equinox, winter in the northern hemisphere, and summer in the southern hemisphere. So find a place to watch the sunrise on that fateful day and see for yourself what it brings.
