no more desktop icons in [KDE] 4.1
http://nerdd.net/ 2008/ 05/ 24/ no-more-desktop-icons-in-kde-41/Well, we now have a folder view applet courtesy of Frederik H?glund. It can view any folder you want, including the desktop folder. You can also set a filter, making it possible to, for instance, view just images or whatever. It uses KIO so you can view remote folders as well.

I look at little updates hither and thither and go “That’s neat!” and then, a few after, I see Aaron Seigo blog about it. Only then I release how bleeding edge this is. This is what I love so much about open source.
