http://www.critical-hits.com/ 2008/ 07/ 03/ reiner-knizia-creation-of-a-successf…
Dr. Reiner Knizia, one of the best known and most successful boardgame designers, was one of the Guests of Honor at Origins this year. I showed up to one of his panels, entitled "Creation of a Successful Game", a few minutes late due to late night D&D the evening before. ...

Guest Blog and Writer of the Day: Richard Blackburn

    http://chandlermariecraig.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 02/ guest-blog-and-writer-of-…

Today is our first guest blog and I am super excited that we have a published author here to chat with us. Richard Blackburn is an author after my own heart. He writes historical fiction, which is one of my big writing goals after having fallen in love with William Styron. But, even more than that, he also writes YA.

    AW Blogchain, May 08

Now, it was really interesting reading this blogchain. It started somewhere with lying, went through people changing and people taking or not taking rejections, had something about travel in the middle and ended with Top 10 lists. Last poster was L.M. Ashton, writing about scammers.

    Numbers and Letters

I finally wrote something. Not sure if it’s any good but it’s a concept that’s floated around my head at work over the last week or two. This piece of flash was done for the latest Absolute Write Flash Fiction carnival. ~~ooOoo~~ Numbers and letters I popped two more Panadol despite if it’d been less than three hours or whatever.

AW March Blogchain: Slaves to our animals.

Hello, and welcome to the beginning on the March AW Blogchain. How the chain works is simple. One person writes a post, tags the next person on the list, who in turn picks an element from the first post and writes on it. And they tag someone. And they tag some one. And so on. And so on. You get the point.

    FADness!

More of it. The inventor. Today’s prompt: The weather. Whoever thought of that, should be shot, weather is smalltalk material, not, oh my God, I know a story material. Darkness It was dark. And stormy. The typical beginning for a very bad story. Except for I forgot it was also night.

    It’s March FADness!

And, this is it. Flying is the first prompt. Let’s use it. Panic I don’t feel like sitting here. Maybe the pilot doesn’t feel like sitting here either. For all I know he might not even be sitting anywhere near, I’d never know. Flugzeug, that’s what the German call a plane. Literally translated it means Fly-thing.

It has been a very painful couple of weeks at work, but I think the worst of it has passed. I won a motion I’ve been fighting for months at the Daley Center yesterday; I greatly prefer winning to losing, so I’ve been in a much better mood since last night.

    P&E Being Sued

P&E Being Sued February 27, 2008 by Rusty From Absolute Write, it seems P&E is being sued by Barbara Bauer, a notorious “literary agent,” and Victor Cretella, the equally notorious lawyer for PublishAmerica. The entire thread is worth reading. In the meantime, I’ve taken the liberty of copying and pasting this one entry from Mr.

Kelly asks the question – why blog? The short answer is it’s work and fun. I tap into interesting thinkers who are updating their thoughts and philosophies daily. Imagine the possibility of having access to the daily musings of published writers in your field and being able to interact and leave comments and ask questions and they actually like it! It’s fantastic.
