The Turning Point in Charlie Wilson’s War
http://kenhomer.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 27/ the-turning-point-in-charlie-wilson…If you’ve not seen Charlie Wilson’s War, I highly recommend it. Charlie Wilson for those who don’t know him, was a “Good Time Charlie” kinda guy. A Congressman from Texas, Charlie happened to sit on the House Appropriations committee in the 1980s.

“Charlie Wilson’s War” - a battle against boredom
http://blogs.woodtv.com/ ?p=3678”Charlie Wilson’s War”… a disappointment considering the cast… and the writer behind the movie. I really thought I would like this movie… but it fell short… the only redeeming value was the performance of Philip Seymour Hoffman… its no surprise he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best

A Bargain War
http://dorkmonger.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ bargain-war.htmlLast weekend I watched Charlie Wilson's War -- a political movie based on the true story of the backroom negotiations of playboy Congressman Wilson's efforts to obtain Stinger missiles for Afghanistan to shoot down Soviet helicopters in the 1980s. With sex, drugs, and politics, the movie is anything but dull.

Charlie Wilson’s War
http://bayareafilmfan.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 18/ charlie-wilsons-war/What kind of film would you expect from the writing of Aaron Sorkin and the direction of Mike Nichols? A smart, witty and entertaining film that challenges conventional wisdom and pokes fun at the establishment. How this film only received one Oscar nomination is beyond me.

Charlie Wilson’s War
http://jseliger.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ charlie-wilsons-war/Charlie Wilson’s war—the one in which Afghan guerillas fought against the Soviet Union in the 1980s—was filled with bizarre alliances, unusual people, and extraordinary circumstances. Perhaps the biggest of those in terms of height, influence, and unusual bearing was Wilson himself, a Congressman

An Interlude
http://thepastnow.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ interlude.html"These things happened. They were glorious and they changed the world... and then we fucked up the endgame." This is a quote by Texas Congressman Charlie Wilson displayed at the end of the 2007 film Charlie Wilson's War.

Lines in the Sand
http://www.MYWEARANDTEAR.COM/ ?p=294Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman in Charlie Wilson’s War , now on DVD Charlie Wilson’s War , a film about the titular Texas Congressman who secretly aided in funding Afghan freedom fighters against the Soviet Union in the 1980s, kept me enthralled as the actors and script meshed harmoniously throughout this tale of questionable government ethics from a bygone era.

Charlie Wilson's War -- DVD Review
http://pastorbobcornwall.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ charlie-wilsons-war-dvd-review.…As is my custom, I rarely get to the movies before they come out on DVD, and such is the case with the Tom Hanks flick -- Charlie Wilson's War. The movie, as the opening lines let us know, is based on a true story, which means that parts of it are created (a historical novel if you will).
