It’s competition time this weekend, agility style
http://sansanpups.com/ ?p=1391So today I am helping all day, and Kaley~corgi gets a day break, but on Saturday and Sunday, she goes in the ring, USDAA agility. No telling what she will do, but my hopes are that we form a team! Yes, anything can happen.

Lucy Goes In Today
http://tiptail.com/ 2008/ 07/ 01/ lucy-goes-in-today/Well Lucy goes in today for her endoscopy. I think that’s what it’s called… they put a tube down her throat and they are going to put a balloon down there too, to expand the tight spot that is right above her stomach and the lower part of her esophagus. Dangit, I should really learn what these terms are so i can talk about them intelligently.

PCI DSS Position on Patching May Be Unjustified
http://www.bloginfosec.com/ 2008/ 06/ 27/ pci-dss-position-on-patching-may-be-un…Verizon Business recently posted an excellent article on their blog about security patching. As someone who just read The New School of Information Security (an important book that all information security professionals should read), I thought it was refreshing to see someone take an evidence-based approach to information security controls.

Practice today!
http://blog.johannthedog.com/ 2008/ 06/ practice-today.htmlThere is nothing better than starting off your birthday with some agility practice! And that's just what Gracie and I did this morning. Gracie ran most of the hour, because Mum wanted to give me a little break from agility this week since we've been trialing so much.

Timing the Gamble
http://tiptail.com/ 2008/ 06/ 24/ timing-the-gamble/When I do agility, there is a class called Gamblers that is a lot of fun. You have to run your dog around and get as many obstacles as you can, and each obstacle is worth a certain number of points. You want as many points as you can get in the time they give you, which is usually 25 seconds.

Chase Loves Agility
http://tiptail.com/ 2008/ 06/ 23/ chase-loves-agility/I recruited someone to take these pictures of Chase while I was running him. I don’t like to bug people but I do like to have some pictures! And I had the camera on Manual and I forgot to decrease the ISO setting so they are much too grainy. I need to get some software that will reduse the grainy, but I’m too poor to pay for anything.

But I have to tell ya, like Mum always says, I run lots better when my sis Gracie is there to cheer me on. Gracie didn't get to go to the trial this weekend.

Sunday at USDAA
http://tiptail.com/ 2008/ 06/ 22/ sunday-at-usdaa/Today was a much better agility day with Chase my border collie boy. He did well. I was less stressed because I didn’t have someone else who was counting on us. Instead it was just us for us and that’s a good thing. Here are a couple of pictures of my tent setup at the trial.
