Planning an End-of-Term Ancient Roman Banquet & Toga Party

We studied the ancient Romans during the spring term and this is a good party to culminate our unit. All the kids wanted to do it.

Our Report Cards - Photo, and Typical Comments I Write Each Term

We need to give a grade in each subject, and write a comment for each subject. It normally takes me in excess of 40 hours (all at home, spread over about three weeks) to do this for a whole class of close to 30 students.

Into The Wild

This is why, the writer of the book pretended like Chris McCandless’ adventure was a good idea and not totally fool-hearted. I think that every young man would agree that what they really want to do is try to live off the wild for a few months.

Sneaky Sixth-Grader Steals Report Cards!

The day before they were to be sent home, all of the sixth-grade report cards (with 12-year-old students) were stolen! The teacher had them all in a folder, and in the space of a few minutes, they were suddenly missing! I nbever heard of this happening in a school.

As everyone on the planet probably knows by now (yep, we’re not shy, and we talk too much), we’re headed to Alaska in July. We’ll be leaving July 4th (independence day, whoohooo!) and coming back the 3rd of August.Our friends Steve and John will round out the crew.
