A visiting trial judge has been forced to abandon a case in Alice Springs because video equipment continually failed. It is the second time the sexual assault trial against Hubert Pareroultja has been abandoned because of problems with the Alice Springs Law Courts equipment.

This house was very big. Perhaps not oversized compared to the average house, but most definitely oversized compared to the average house you see scooting along at 100km/h on the back of a truck.

A YOUNG woman has stolen a purse from an elderly nun in Alice Springs. The teenager approached the 75-year-old in a car park yesterday and asked her for money, police said. When the nun pulled out her wallet, the teenager - believed to be about 18 years old - snatched her purse, then ran off.

The solar heart of the country By Nicole Lee. A fierce desert sun shone down on locals gathered to celebrate the launch of the Alice Springs Solar Cities Project. This morning, Alice Springs joined Adelaide, Townsville, Blacktown and Central Victoria to become the country’s fifth solar city.
