Love For Rob Liefeld, None For Decompression

    http://www.fortheloveofcomics.com/ 2008/ 09/ 01/ love-rob-liefeld-decompression/…

Over at I Love Rob Liefeld (which is quite possibly the ballsiest name for a blog like, ever.), Sandy Bilus decided to celebrate Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s “economic use of pages to tell an epic story.” in All-Star Superman by trying to summarize the entire storyline in exactly eleven panels and does a damn good job.

    http://brahsome.com/ 2008/ 07/ 17/ yoooooouuuur-2008-super-hero-all-stars/

With all the likely — and well deserved — hype surrounding the new Batman flick, combined with the collective All Star Game (whose live blog actually gave us this idea) hangover, the brahs somehow managed to knock collective domepieces together and come up with a list of what our superhero All-Star team would be.

Comics Out May 29, 2008 (Final Crisis and Astonishing X-Men Audio-Reviews)

    http://geoffklock.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ comics-out-may-29-2008.html

Giant Sized X-Men # 1 can only be reviewed with the power of the spoken word. Final Crisis #1 ALSO demands an audio review. Iron Fist 15. A pretty good story overshadowed by this week's other releases. The image on the cover is especially excellent. Batman 677.

All Star Superman #11 - Review

    http://weeklycomicbookreview.com/ 2008/ 05/ 30/ all-star-superman-11-review/

By Grant Morrison (writer), Frank Quitely (artist), and Jamie Grant (colorist) Coming into my this issue my expectations were raised through the roof. It seemed like Grant Morrison was out-doing himself as each issue progressed. I’ll make no bones about it, either: All Star Superman #10 was the best single issue of any series that I’ve read all year.

The Pull List (5-29-08): That's a whole lotta Morrison

Holy crap! Three different books by Grant Morrison coming out in the same week, along with some of my favorite ongoing titles?! Let's just say that if my weekly comic budget was a diet, I'd be stuffing my face with cupcakes and spare ribs ... delicious, delicious spare ribs.

The 85 Weirdest, Day 34: Grant Morrison

The 85th anniversary issue of Weird Tales features our big list of “The 85 Weirdest Storytellers of the Past 85 Years.” We’re breaking it down online, too: one honoree per day, in no particular order, for 85 days! We’ve met a few poseurs in our day; ergo, we assert: the comic book writer-rockstar-mage thing only works if you’ve got the skills to pay the bills.

Review of All Star Superman: Free Comic Book Day 2008 (2.75 stars)

    http://lotrking.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 07/ review-of-all-star-superman-free-co…

Overall rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars Yes, that’s right, I’m reviewing a DC comic. No, you’re not dreaming. I actually picked this up for two reasons: one, it was free, two, despite the fact that I don’t read DC doesn’t mean that I am not interested in DC characters.
