Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway is an American actress perhaps best known for her tenure making family-friendly films under contract with Disney. She made her mark in 2001 with The Princess Diaries, a film she starred in alongside Julie Andrews.

Hathaway continued to serve out her contract with Disney, making a sequel to The Princess Diaries and starring in Ella Enchanted. She began to be typecast as a star in G-rated films, so Hathaway set out to change her reputation in a bid to gain more "adult" roles. The straight-to-video Havoc was the result, as she took part in a few nude scenes to ditch her family-friendly image.

From there, Anne was able to snag a role in the controversial Brokeback Mountain and her career was on its way in a new direction. Hathaway worked alongside Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada and played Jane Austen in the 2007 film Becoming Jane. 

Viewed as a rising star in the movie industry by many, Anne Hathaway continues to live out her dreams and continue in the footsteps of her idol, Meryl Streep.
