Have you ever wondered where your stuff comes from…or more importantly where it goes after you’re done with it? Have you looked around and realized how much STUFF you actually have and how it even accumulated to be so much? OR have you ever gone so far as to think about what YOUR stuff is doing to the planet and the people that live on it?

As this is Half Term and I am out having fun with the kids (in the rain), I am declaring this The Rubbish Diet Video Week. Every day I will be publishing a video clip, some of which have been sent in by readers. It's easy blogging material I know, but I won't have much access to the PC this week and will save any special anecdotes for when the kids are back at school.

I recently heard an interview on public radio WLRN with Annie Leonard, an activist who produced a video called The Story of Stuff. She explains the impact of how consumer goods are produced, distributed, sold and thrown away.

Or at least start saying no to the current paradigm of the way we produce, consume, use and get rid of our stuff. Watch this great video by Annie Leonard and then start thinking and then doing something about all the stuff you buy, use and get rid of. Here’s a shocker.
