A few more from Arches before we go

    http://www.photographica.org/ story/ s1/ 2008/ 9/ 2/ 503?utm_medium=syndication&…

I know I said we'd be moving on to Colorado, but I lied. Not intentionally, I swear. But I had these two images from Arches and I just wanted some opinions on them. I haven't quite figured out if I really like them or not. Skyline Arch In the Landscape Thanks for any comments, critiques or suggestions.

    Meeting Three Challenges

    http://karenink.typepad.com/ karens_muse_and_musings/ 2008/ 08/ meeting-two-chal…

My biggest challenge for the last week has been lack of inspiration. I'm not sure if it's late summer doldrums, the cloudy wet weather from tropical storm Fay, or just laziness, but I haven't been motivated to do much of anything.

Black and White plus Red Gothic Arch

    http://friedaquilter.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ black-and-white-plus-red-gothic-arc…

The latest theme for the Gothic Arches Challenge is to use black and white with a little bit of red. I've combined this with the first arch I'm making for Linda K. as this is also one of her favourite colour combinations.

    Farewell to a National Treasure

    http://www.channelbv.net/ 2008/ 08/ 20/ farewell-to-a-national-treasure/

As the summer travel season reaches it’s peak, I was saddened to read about the loss a great monument in Arches National Park.  Wall Arch was a much photographed icon of Utah’s famed park.  From the Associated Press “Paul Henderson, the park’s chief of interpretation, said Wall Arch collapsed sometime late Monday or early Tuesday (editors note - August 4th or 5th).
