Scottish Tories lift suspension of Philip Lardner

They have now lifted the suspension with this formal press statement: “The Scottish Conservative and Unionist party suspended the candidature of Philip Lardner following an article which appeared in the Sunday Herald newspaper on 22nd June 2008.

Distiller of the Year reports 2007 loss after export slide

The Directors’ report show that this is due, in part, to an increase in interest charges of £48.000 following the company’s investment in new mill and warehousing facilities.

French father and son rescued from dinghy off Skipness in Loch Fyne
http://forargyll.com/ 2008/ 08/ french-father-and-son-rescued-from-rowing-boat-o…Clyde Coastguard were called out this afternoon by the owner of holiday cottages at Skipness at the entrance to Loch Fyne in Argyll, opposite the Isle of Arran. Some people staying in the cottages had taken out a small rowing boat and could no longer be seen from shore.

Vacation is Over!
