Awards

The tag awards is used often by bloggers when writing posts about book awards. These are often blogs written by librarians and other educators. A very popular blog about children's book awards is Fuse #8 by Librarian Betsy Bird of the New York Public Library. Bookslut is a fun literature blog, and you can read breaking news about literature and the book industry at Galleycat.

Bloggers also use the tag on awards websites. A great children's book awards website is The Children’s Book Council - CBC . The CBC is the national nonprofit trade association for children’s trade book publishers. The Cybils - the children's and young adult bloggers' literary award awards the children’s and young adult authors and illustrators whose books combine the highest literary merit and “kid appeal.” These awards are extremely important in the field of children's literature. You can browse these books that won awards from sites like Amazon.com or you can find them at your local bookstore using sites like IndieBound.org.
