He thinks the ad is hilarious, but we found at least one complaint from a Weekly Dig reader who thought the fake ad ...

    Badvertising: Kinder Surprise

    http://www.hecklerspray.com/ badvertising-kinder-surprise/ 200814032.php

Everyone likes Kinder Surprise - the fiddly wrapper, the insubstantial chocolate, the crap toy that you’ll either get bored of within thirty seconds or choke to death upon (thereby becoming a playground urban myth for many a century to come, just like that boy everyone ‘knew’ who swallowed a biro lid).

    Award-Winning* Advertising

*Golden Eraser, Honorable Mention, Fall 2006 In our Business of Advertising class during the first semester at VCU Adcenter, our roles were reversed for one assignment. Communications Strategists (like myself) and Creative Brand Managers were asked to become Art Directors and Copywriters for a Red Bull campaign.

Court: Tyson Can No Longer Claim Chickens Are "Raised Without Antibiotics" [Badvertising]

    http://consumerist.com/ 5007632/ court-tyson-can-no-longer-claim-chickens-are-ra…

Tyson Foods has 14 days to stop claiming that their chickens are "raised without antibiotics." The deceptive nationwide campaign was brought to an end after rivals Sanderson Farms and Purdue filed suit claiming that all three poultry processors use antibiotics, and that Tyson was trying to steal an undeserved appearance of health.

    Badvertising: Legend Of Zelda

    http://www.hecklerspray.com/ badvertising-legend-of-zelda/ 200813762.php

It’s so easy to hate, you know. Just take a look at hecklerspray’s regular Badvertising feature, in which we take commercials presently oozing from your television screen and vehemently assert how rubbish they are. It’s a non-stop loathefest. And we’re tired, people. Tired. So.

Mark Cuban on interruption vs. engagement

    http://soundbiteback.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ mark-cuban-on-interruption-vs.html

Mark Cuban is right when he says that turning up the volume is one of the fastest ways to get people to stop listening to you. Almost without exception, a well-placed whisper is more effective than random screaming. Photo: kk+ on Flickr

9/11 Ads Are Just A Bad Idea [Badvertising]

    http://gawker.com/ 382136/ 911-ads-are-just-a-bad-idea

You'd think at some point, in a creative review meeting, some advertising exec would stand up and say, "Maybe the 9-11 picture's not such a good idea." Such a simple sentence. But no! The latest example of incorporating a nationally traumatic terrorist mass murder into an ad: this spot for SABC Radio [via AdScam], with the tagline "There's More To See On Radio." Such as the Twin Towers burning.
