At an investor’s conference held today, Take-Two Interactive, parent company to the 2K publishing and development branch, officially announced a follow-up to its critically-acclaimed deep-sea shooter, dubbed simply ‘BioShock 2′ at the moment.

He’s back! It’s official. 2K Marin, the newly opened 2K studio stationed in California and created by luminaries from 2K Boston (the staff behind original BioShock) will be developing a sequel to BioShock, and it is reportedly going to see the light of day by late 2009.
