    Semiya / Vermicelli Biryani

    http://www.salkkaaram.com/ 2008/ 08/ semiya-vermicelli-biryani.html

Ask me which is the easiest and tastiest dish I would like to cook(and eat), the answer is the very famous biriyani...I have no other options if I have some guests, this is the only one I don't need to do any hard work and could finish my work within one and half hours including kitchen cleaning!

    Hyderabadi

It's squirreled away on a side street, across from a gas station, which hints at the sadly low level of foot traffic. Nearby Spicy Mina is also on the awkward side of the BQE, but at least it's catty-corner from a subway station; to find Hyderabadi, head downhill from Mina's, go a block west on Broadway, and hang a right.

Khoja Kachi Biryani ( With Chicken)

    http://gastronomebychoice.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ khoja-kachi-biryani-with-chick…

Continuing with my love for Biryanis and adding more of them to this blog, here is one that the Khoja community makes. Now, this Biryani is typically made with Lamb but I tried it out with chicken. The term Kachi is to denote a kind of Biryani where the meat is cooked alongwith the rice.

Revive A Sunnah: Don’t Loosen That Belt!

    http://muslimmatters.org/ 2008/ 07/ 19/ revive-a-sunnah-dont-loosen-that-belt/

Your mom cooked an amazing meal for Jumu’ah. It’s a wedding. Or a fundraising iftaar. Basically, it’s good food - and even better ‘cuz it’s free! But before you grab your plate and turn it into the next Mount Kilimanjaro, heed these wise words of advice from the greatest example for all mankind (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and from the Salaf.
