Well, gang, the OKC Thunder are officially a franchise. -A boring, yellow, blue and orange franchise. The "guitar pick of apathy" was officially unveiled today to a smattering of claps and yawns, and somewhere a Knicks fan said, "Hey...they just took the Knicks' colors.

Tropic Thunder is neither your typical war action movie, nor is it your average satirical comedy.  It’s a movie within a movie, with actors within actors within characters, getting lost in the plot while getting lost within the jungle.  Despite the tangled mess Ben Stiller and crew weave, it’s still a fun journey riddled with laughter and bullets.

We are close to the unveiling of the Oklahoma City Thunder logo...wait a tick...what's this? Oh, my bad. Someone took the old Pistons logo, got rid of that weird horse with the mufflers poking out of it, and slapped a completely uninteresting triangle on it. For a second there I thought it was the new Thunder logo.

Tropic Thunder Review August 30th, 2008 Tropic Thunder has a fairly simple plot premise, make a movie about making movies. Take a group of actors played by Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr.

Rain of Madness, a documentary parody of Apocalypse Now documentary Hearts of Darkness chronicling the making of Tropic Thunder (the fake Tropic Thunder within real Tropic Thunder, obviously) is now available for free on iTunes. It sounds like a thick, mucusy wad of meta I can't yet bear to swallow, but you can check it out here.

Paramount Pictures has officially released the documentary behind the movie Tropic Thunder, known as Rain of Madness, online for free on iTunes. As you will probably see when you go stomping away to watch this spot of brilliance, the documentary illuminates some of the funniest elements of Tropic

Rating: 4/4 stars Tropic Thunder is about a bunch of actors who go to Vietnam to shoot a movie. Think Apocalypse Now meets Zoolander. The film is so wrong but so funny. It pokes fun at Hollywood and what actors will do to get noticed. Sure, there’s the whole “retard” controversy, but most of the antagonism comes from people who haven’t seen it in context.

Ben Stiller’s latest film Tropic Thunder remained top of the North American box office this weekend. It saw off competition from The House Bunny and Death Race to gross dllrrs16.1 million for Dreamworks.
