Beaky Buzzard
http://thadkomorowski.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ beaky-buzzard/I’ve always liked Beaky Buzzard, the character created by Bob Clampett, whether it be in his few cartoons, or in the issues of Looney Tunes and Bugs Bunny, especially those drawn by Vive Risto (not the artist of the comic page at left, taken from Looney Tunes #54. Thanks, Andrea, for the scan!).

The Adventures of Daff-bot and Pork-stello
http://cartoonzforu.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ adventures-of-daff-bot-and-pork-stel…Sorry for that incredibily lame pun. Aside from that, this post is about the partnership between Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. It almost seems like they were MADE just to be partners. Perhaps it's just because thier personalities are so diffreent from each other that they go well together.

Oh How the Mighty Have Fallen
http://thadkomorowski.com/ 2008/ 05/ 03/ oh-how-the-mighty-have-fallen/To save face and not suffer the wrath of Eddie Selzer, Bob Clampett took to the streets and was looking for work at the other Hollywood cartoon studios after the Spring of 1945. He was given the pathetic position of “creative consultant” at Screen Gems by his old pals Ray Katz and Henry Binder (who

Clampett: Porky’s Tire Trouble
http://thadkomorowski.com/ 2008/ 04/ 26/ clampett-porkys-tire-trouble/My personal favorite of Clampett’s black-and-white cartoons, which got pretty mediocre really fast after this one. The Fleischer influence is clear, what with the rubbery animation and designs of the walrus and Flat Foot Flookey (which may be the greatest name for a dog ever).

Clampett’s John Carter of Mars
http://editoon.com/ sandbox/ vid/ clampett%e2%80%99s-john-carter-of-mars/The property of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ John Carter of Mars has always had an allure in the Sci-Fi community. This series that was penned by the Tarzan author begot the likes of Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers and the three never graduated to great success because of often ridiculous and outlandish stories.

The science-fiction film, based on the series of novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs, has been alternately rumored to be animated, live-action or a hybrid of both.

Earlier Horton Animation
http://www.fpsmagazine.com/ blog/ 2008/ 03/ earlier-horton-animation.phpI'm looking forward to Blue Sky's adaption of Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who, which opens on March 14. I'm not looking forward to the continued misappropriation of the story's broader message by the pro-life movement, despite the fact Dr. Seuss (aka Theodor Geisel) didn't like the idea of its adoption (no pun intended) for such purposes before his death.
