Beer...frosty brewed friend of many. Over centuries beer has grown in leaps and bounds helping shy people hook up, throw up, make poor life decisions, chillax...really the list goes on. However for all these years only so called "adults" could properly enjoy this tasty alcoholic beverage---until RIGHT NOW!

This past Monday was April Fool’s Day. What a serious waste of time but I won’t get into that. Anyway, the wife and I were out at Wal-Mart getting a bit of grocery shopping done that day. I’m not sure how your Wal-Mart is set up but at the one in the boondocks our eggs are directly across from the beer.

While out grocery shopping the other day I ran across the new "Budweiser Chelada". I instantly did a double take, rubbed my eyes, and took a picture as evidence. I enjoy a good hangover curing "red-beer" as much as the next redneck. I however would never use clamato, I just don't enjoy clam broth as much as some I suppose.

More knowledge absorbed inadvertently during my Las Vegas odyssey. There is actually a product that mixes Budweiser and Clamato (which is clam juice and tomato juice combined). Now to my mind that's just gilding the lily a bit too much. I would give almost anything to have been in on THAT marketing meeting.

I was checking out the beer section of the 5th Ave Kroger the other day and came across an unusual item: a can that contained a mix of Budweiser, Clamato, lime juice, and salt. Um, wtf? Well, it turns out that "chelada" (or "michelada") is essentially a bloody mary made with beer instead of vodka and has been popular in Mexico and the Southwest since the 1940s.

Now I know there is something out there for everyone. I also discovered that some people should just be shot. I had to do a double-take in the beer aisle at my local Publix when I saw Budweiser & Clamato. Apparently, this is called Chelada and is popular among the Latino community.

Check out the below picture of a billboard near my house: Yes, that's the refreshing mixture of Budweiser and Clamato. CLAMATO?! [hurl] What idiot came up with this idea? Seriously, how drunk do you have to be to say "Let's combine an alcoholic carbonated beverage with sh*t-juice"? I'm sure that both could use some improvement on their respective tastes--but this is not going to do it.
