The Comaraderie of Cab Drivers This morning at 1 a.m., a few cabs pulled up on Richards St. beside Waves Coffee Shop at Richards and Hastings. A few guys jumped out and there was some pushing and shoving. I dug for my camera but by the time I got it, the commotion had ended.

A Cab Ride I'll Never Forget --posted by Terry on Mar 28, 2008 Twenty years ago, I drove a cab for a living.  One night I took a fare at 2:30 AM, when I arrived to collect, the building was dark except for a single light in a ground floor window. Under these circumstances, many drivers would just honk once.

OK, so the Jays had no business winning that game, because they got a ridiculous gift from Broussard in the bottom of the 8th. Any hope they had of winning was pretty much gravy, and while it's definitely frustrating that they couldn't put it together, such is life.
