Canada

Tag details

Canada is a country that is directly north of the United States. Along with Mexico, these three countries make up what is known as North America, one of the world's seven continents.

Canada's history dates back to the late 15th Century when expeditions out of Britain and France explored the east coast of the country. However, Canada did not become its own country, its own federation, until July 1867, consisting of ten provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.

As of a 2006 country census, Canada had a reported census of over 30,000,000 people, an increase of over 5% from the previous count in 2001.
