With, presumably, no more live-action episodes coming, what can fans reasonably expect from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” the theatrical pilot for the upcoming animated television series? Well, there’s knockout animation, facsimiles of popular characters and plenty of action.

Ram Man: A Long Time Ago on a Sound stage far far away George Lucas came up with one of the Greatest film trilogies of all time. Since then he has marketed them into oblivion. The latest is the new animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

CHICAGO – “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” which is the inaugural animated “Star Wars” project from Lucasfilm Animation and “Star Wars” architect George Lucas, feels and looks every bit as introductory as a foundational attempt could be. Rating: 2.5/5.0 In many ways, the film again typifies what every “Star Wars” film always does.

Is it just me, or is there a new “collector’s edition” of The Nightmare Before Christmas released every year? I’ve done no research to back this up, but it seems like I get word of a new one about this time every year. No matter. It’s a great story with drop-dead animation and awesome music.

At Some Came Running, Glenn Kenny is skeptical about a rumored remake. “A couple of my esteemed colleagues have expressed slightly guarded enthusiasm over the extremely shaky prospect that Quentin Tarantino will direct Britney Spears in a remake of Russ Meyer's 1965 exploitation classic Faster Pussycat...Kill!
