Kubrick Exhibit Official After Party @ Sweatin’ 9 08 2008 This Thursday the Wexner Center for the Arts is showing two Stanley Kubrick films: Fear and Desire (1953) @ 7 PM and A Clockwork Orange (1971) @ 8:15 PM. The Milk Bar is hosting a free, Clockwork-inspired afterparty with the Sweatin’ crew at Axis (775 N High St) following the screening.

  The new ‘A Clockwork Orange’ based concept album from Sepultura will be titled ‘A-Lex’ which is supposed to mean ‘No Law’ or something. A-Lex will be released in ovember on SPV Records. This is their first record with new drummer, Jean Dolabella. Track list after the fold. 01. A-Lex I 02.

Some people think Clockwork Orange is a work of staggering genius. Some people find staggering genuis is a euphism for irritating and deliberately obtuse. If you, like I, are one of the latter, you may want to check out Apples, written by a 23 year old Brit named Richard Milward.

Hooray! Fans 1. Flippers 0. I’d had my trigger-finger near the Buy It Now auctions of a couple Hong Kong flippers on the Bay right after Michael Lau’s CSBOOTH15 ended. I’m not complaining about my job one bit, but it can be extremely difficult to pen post after post of praise and pics on a toy such as the Stanley Kubrick-inspired Gardeners and not be able to call them my own.
