Croatia
Croatia has an ancient history but it's also a brand-new country. The Illyrians settled the region in prehistoric times, followed by the Romans, but Croatia was not recognized as an independent country until 1992. Now, the stunning Adriatic coast has made Croatia a world-class tourist destination.
Although the capital is Zagreb, most visitors head to Dubrovnik, called the "pearl of the Adriatic". Croatia is a popular destination for cruises and for yachting.
Croatia is a very photogenic country so bloggers like to post photos or write a travel blogs about their trip. The country's newness makes political and lifestyle issues a hot topic among bloggers. Local blogs and blogs by expatriates are full of tips for gaining a deeper understanding of Croatia whether to visit or to live.
