Current Events
Current events are all about what's happening right now on a worldwide scale. In the early days of the blogosphere, mainstream media didn't realize that bloggers were reporting faster, and often better, on current events. Some mainstream writers still think that way. Current events aren't all about politics, but politics remain a driving force for a lot of bloggers.
Michelle Malkin's Hot Air is hot. From a different perspective, Mother Jones has crossed over from a 20th century magazine to 21st century media portal and blog.
If world leaders hitting their heads while boarding Air Force One crack you up, Daniel Kurtzman's Political Humor Blog is good for a laugh. Check out more personal takes on current events at Patterico and Fausta's Blog. For more things current, try news and current affairs.
