http://www.rustyrazorblade.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ mysql-and-materialized-views/I was poking around the MySQL Worklog again over the weekend, and found a request for materialized views for MySQL. Escape From SQL
http://www.e1tips.com/ e1wp/ index.php/ 2008/ 05/ 12/ escape-from-sql/The other day, one of my coworkers was presented a question from our development team: How can I use SQL to look for a "%" in a column? Well, the first guess is to use something like: SELECT * FROM MYLIB/MYFILE WHERE MYCOL LIKE ‘%%%’ or SELECT * FROM MYLIB/MYFILE WHERE MYCOL LIKE ‘%\%%’ Well, unfortunately, neither of those statements would work.

NSFDB2 & iSeries: a good idea is NOT dead (yet)
http://www.dominobaloney.com/ 2008/ 05/ nsdb2-iseries-good-idea-is-not-dead-yet.…I recently received a polite memo from an IBM guy: he asked me if I'm still using NSFDB2 (Domino on Windows) plus DB2 Federation over iSeries (AS/400,...) and he also asked me some feedback about my previous experience about that. I am glad about it, really: he's trying to refocus the interest in that subject.
