Evolution: I don’t have enough faith to believe it
http://hortonhears.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 21/ evolution-i-dont-have-enough-fai…Evolution: I don’t have enough faith to believe it Lately I’ve been contemplating the whole “evolution vs creation” debate. I’ve always believed in creation. I’ve also studied evolution. In my high school and college biology classes, we spent extensive amounts of time, studying the theory of evolution.

Animal Farm (Not the Orwellian one)
http://sciencevideos.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 16/ animal-farm-not-the-orwellian-…A while ago I posted about glowing pigs and fish and couldn’t work out where it had come from. Thanks to stitchintime from the TES Boards, I found out it was from Channel 4’s ‘Animal Farm’ series on genetic engineering. Here’s the first part of episode 1: It’s probably a good idea to save all the parts of it before it gets taken down.

Quote of the Day (Jeffrey Kluger)
http://exploringourmatrix.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ quote-of-day-jeffrey-kluger.ht…"Stein employs the common dodge of enumerating all the admittedly unanswered questions in evolutionary theory and using this to refute the whole idea. But all scientific knowledge is built this way. A fishnet is made up of a lot more holes than strings, but you can't therefore argue that the net doesn't exist.

I was reminded of this when I read Jonah Goldbergs article in LA Times regarding the Darwin fish, a parody of the Jesus fish that many put as a bumper sticker on their cars.

Fishy
http://sharrup.agblogger.org/ 2008/ 04/ 04/ fishy/Fishy By Scott Harrup | April 4, 2008 Los Angeles Times columnist Jonah Goldberg’s April 1 subject struck me at first glance as a possible April Fools’ joke. The column, “Evolution of religious bigotry,” considered “the cowardice and intolerance of slapping a Darwin fish on your car bumper.”

Darwin Fish
http://www.tommcmahon.net/ 2008/ 04/ darwin-fish.htmlAn excerpt from Jonah Goldberg: I find Darwin fish offensive. First, there’s the smugness. The undeniable message: Those Jesus fish people are less evolved, less sophisticated than we Darwin fishers. The hypocrisy is even more glaring.

There is no bigot like an atheist
http://www.timeimmortal.net/ 2008/ 04/ 02/ there-is-no-bigot-like-an-atheist/Jonah comments on a phenomenon that is getting a bit on the old side by now — the “Darwin Fish”. You know, that “clever” little modification of the classic “Jesus Fish” that you see tacked onto the bumpers of some cars, that has taken the classic fish shape and added legs to it, with either “Darwin” or “Evolve” replacing the traditional texts one finds printed in the “Jesus Fish”?
