Dermatologist

A Dermatologist is a physician (MD or DO in the US) that deals with the skin and diseases of the skin both medically and surgically. Board certification comes from the American Board of Dermatology.

Mohs surgery, dermapathology and cosmetic dermatology are some of the subspecialities.

There are a growing number of general dermatology blogs, but cosmetic dermatology blogs are the most prevalent in the bloggosphere since they serve a number of functions; patient education, seo, sem, medical marketing, etc. and cosmetic dermatologists practice retail cosmetic medicine. 

Cosmetic dermatolgy blogs are often found as part of a medical practice or medical directory listing site but there are others that are affiliated with academia.
