Dish Network

Candy Ergen, Charlie Ergen, and James DeFranco founded EchoStar Communications Corporation in 1980, the parent company of what would become known as the Dish Network.

Currently established in Englewood, Colorado, the Dish Network did not actually start broadcasting satellite television to its dishes until 1996. In just months, the service had 100,000 subscribers nationwide. By late 1997, that number had grown to one million. As of 2008, Dish Network has approximately 13 million subscribers throughout the United States,

The main rival to the Dish Network in the world of Direct Broadcasting Satellite service is DirecTV, which launched satellite service at virtually the same time as Dish did. They both offer similar basic services, but differ in the channels, digital quality, and programming they offer in their various packages.

  I am located in Providence RI zip 02904 and it appears to me signals are low. Dish was installed two weeks ago on Eastern Arc and tech said he peaked each satelite. 61.5 is 41, 72 is 57, 77 is 46. I have never lost signal even in heavy rain but numbers seem low. Are these peak for my area?
