Diy
"DIY" stands for do-it-yourself. A famous TV show called This Old House was a DIY show hosted by Bob Vila. Bob and his crew would film home improvement projects delivering a deeper look into how these projects were managed and performed.
If you look at the success of Home Depot its clear that people are taking a serious interest in doing their own work. Home Depot even offers classes to teach how to install ceramic tile or how to build a deck. The average Joe could go into a store and pick out the materials as well as ask questions about how he should prepare for the project.
The web has seen a tremendous amount of demand for DIY type content from how to videos, and places catering to the DIY enthusiast. A community called Etsy which allows people to market their handmade goods has seen a tremendous amount of success.
Whether you are currently doing some DIY projects, or you are just interested in watching how others figure this stuff out, its no doubt a way to save money and show off your newly found talents.
