I photographed these two dogwood flowers and dogwood branches in a dark and shady area of the Yosemite Valley forest last April just as the spring bloom was starting.

    http://smileenter.com/ buy-a-flowering-tree-for-fall-planting.html

A flowering tree is best planted for spring blooming in the fall when dormant, however, container flowering trees can be planted any season, but preferably fall and winter is best. Gardeners can buy many colors of flowering trees: red, white, yellow, peach, pink, plum, lavender, blue, and apricot.

The traditional folks would always look at every piece of furniture they can find to place in their homes and some would even want the antique designs to really bring in some color and class to home designs today. Price will surely be an issue.

Many species in subgenus Swida are stoloniferous shrubs, growing along waterways. Several of these are used in naturalizing landscape plantings, especially the species with bright red or bright yellow stems. Most of the species in subgenus Benthamidia are small trees used as ornamental plants.

    A Day in the Park

    http://atypicalgirl.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 05/ a-day-in-the-park/

Sarah had off today and after attending to some usual Monday things, we decided to head out to test our beautiful new Canon camera (which is mostly mine since I’m the one who takes 99% of all photos). I pulled into the Fish Hatchery because trout are always fun… Look at all ‘dem trout! I should have purchased some fish food for the little buggers.

    Pink Flowering Dogwood

    http://digitalflowerpictures.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ pink-flowering-dogwood.html

Pink Flowering Dogwood Cornus florida var. rubra (KOR-nus) (FLOR-ih-duh) When we visited the farm on Sunday they had two pink Dogwoods planted in the circular driveway. I really fell in love with this one. It has the deepest color I have seen this season. The Dogwood was also beautiful but not like this one.

    Quincy IL - Dogwood City

    http://gardengrow.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 28/ quincy-illinois-dogwood-city/

Travel down the streets in Quincy. Illinois on a spring day and you’ll see why it’s been recognized as a Tree City USA. During the annual Dogwood Festival, the Dogwood trees seem to compete in their own beauty pageant. Every yard seems to sport its own tree, a mixture of creamy white blossomed trees and the more familiar pink Dogwood flowers.

    White Dogwood Trees (Cornus Florida)

    http://www.homeconstructionimprovement.com/ 2008/ 04/ white-dogwood-trees-cornus…

Yesterday I planted two White Dogwood trees. We are trying to add new landscaping features to our large yard this year so it doesn't look like a huge open football field around the house. Planting trees, shrubs and flowers can be a rather simple home improvement project that can add significant curb appeal and value to your home.
