Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver refers to web development and design software originally created by Macromedia Software, and eventually acquired by design software monolith Adobe Corporation along with Macromedia’s revolutionary Flash and Fireworks software. Dreamweaver’s user interface makes it easy for many people to create simple websites, while providing professional web design companies with state of the art code injection and site architecture options.

As Dreamweaver slowly starts to move ahead of other popular web design software like Microsoft’s FrontPage, more and more web design blogs consider Dreamweaver to be the standard in web design software. Because Dreamweaver is now distributed and designed by Adobe, it works seamlessly with other high profile programs like photography staple Adobe Photoshop and of course Adobe Flash. As such, Dreamweaver has become a mainstay in web design blogs, web design tutorials and for professional website design across the globe.

Dreamweaver was revised multiple times under Macromedia, reaching a version 8 in 2005. Since then, Dreamweaver has been updated twice (version CS3 and CS4) and is sold as a stand-alone product or in a collection of Adobe products, the most current of which being called Creative Suite 4 or CS4. Dreamweaver has sold millions of copies worldwide.
