I am not going to go link to all the crap I have heard and read to today (I do have one link to a particularly vulgar post over at DailyKos in my previous post for anyone so inclined). But it has included ridiculous comments about Palin not being able to be a mother and VP to the fact she was selected only for her ovaries.

I have had my fingers crossed all week McCain would take advantage of the opening Obama left wide open to tap a woman conservative as his VP selection - and now it seems MY hopes have come true! Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a self-styled “hockey mom” who has been governor for less than two years, is GOP Presidential candidate John McCain’s choice for Vice President.

Obama is such a liberal it is amazing. First off was a propaganda biography that would make Joseph Goebbels proud. Obama talked about his father from Kenya and mother from America following the American dream. Which also, according to the biography, Obama only remembers a month with his father.

I have to tip my hat to the McCain PR machine - it has been devastating to Obama. This election has turned from being a referendum on Bush or Iraq and is now firmly a question of Obama’s readiness to take on the responsibilities of leading and protecting this nation.

Gallup has detected a mini-bounce for Obama in their daily tracking poll (follow link for larger image): As Gallup notes the question is how long this will last, given the McCain news cycle begins tomorrow (and maybe even this evening with word leaking out on his VP selection).

OK, again, like Bill Clinton’s I’m getting this up late due to some meetings I had, but here’s my analysis: He’s starting out talking about being proud of his kids, and that the way they turned out made him a success.  Now he’s moved on to his wife.  Talking about how he wants to bring the country as far along as Bill Clinton did.
