Electric Cars

Tag details

Electric cars have become an increasingly important topic in the blogosphere as they've moved from niche blogs into mainstream discourse. Why? Because electric vehicles could be the next major technological step for transportation, assuming a variety of hurdles (government support, infrastructure, battery technology, and consumer confidence) are overcome.

Most of the major automotive blogs have at least nominal coverage of so-called "green car technology", and some sites are dedicated to just a single model, like the Chevy Volt.

While many electric car models are already available, the technology is developing at a rapid pace. There's more than just making sure the car will get you to and from the office: they could also become pivotal in our new energy infrastructure by storing wind and solar power.
