Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who was born May 28, 1977, in Cranston, Rhode Island, gained celebrity status as a reality TV show performer but it was her co-hosting duties on the daytime talk show The View that achieved her fame, along with respect from fellow Republicans and ridicule from Democrats, liberals, and almost anyone else who can't stand her stubborn persona.

Hasselbeck was cast in Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2001, and finished fourth overall. In November 2003, she replaced the departed Lisa Ling on The View, joining a cast that included Meredith Vieira, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Star Jones.

A staunch conservative and unabashed Republican who supported John McCain's run for the presidency in 2008, Hasselbeck has proven to hold her ground while being outnumbered by the rest of the outspoken cast that has since included Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg.

She married former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck on July 6, 2002, and the couple have a daugher Grace (born April 6, 2005) and a son Taylor (born November 9, 2007).
