A new study confirms that early life exposure to second-hand smoke can produce life-long respiratory problems. A study of 35,000 adult non-smokers in Singapore revealed that those who lived with smokers during childhood had far more respiratory illnesses.

Secondhand smoke is a combination of the smoke fashioned from a burning cigarette and the smoke exhaled by the smoker. Second-hand smoke is also known as passive smoke or environmental tobacco smoke (ETS).

If you′re not a smoker, stay away from those who do because smokers aren’t the only ones being harmed by their habit.
