Figuring I had nothing to lose, the first day of the Red Hat summit I introduced myself to Red Hat's new CEO and president, Jim Whitehurst and asked if he would be up for a podcast. Instead of making up some plausible excuse, he was very receptive and gave me his card.

The second half of last week I attended the Red Hat Summit and FUDCon which Sun and MySQL were silver sponsors of. The events were co-located at the Hynes convention center in Boston. Although both events featured an impressive list of topics and tracks, other than the keynotes I spent the majority of my time meeting and talking to people.

Got to FUDCon today after a nice semi-sleepy red-eye flight.  I was surprisingly awake for a person who has had less than 3 hours of sleep in the last 24+ hours.  As I arrived, following Max’s instructions to the Hyne’s Convention Center, an announcement.  The spins hackfest was beginning.

Like many other Fedora contributors, I'll be at Fudcon this coming weekend. (And the Red Hat summit on Wednesday). Trying to decide whether or not to do the usual 'state of the union' kernel talk that I do at every fudcon.

FUDCon, FUDCon, FUDCon…yep, Fedora Users and Developers Conference For us was the most important day within Linux Tag. Max Spevak opened the FUDCon with a short introduction, after Tribalth North spoke about Fedora Electronic Lab project which aim to packages and provide some electronic application into fedora distribution.
