I asked my youngest daughter where she and her soon-to-be husband were going on their honeymoon. She informed me they had 3 days to take a honeymoon in the following week and they hadn’t decided on where to go yet. I suggested Outer Banks, because it is a fun place to go to the beach and swimming.

My youngest daughter has informed her dad and I this past weekend that she and her boyfriend are getting married this Thursday at 10 AM at the courthouse by a judge. When she informed me my mouth fell wide open and I nearly dropped the cell phone while driving on the interstate coming home from my mom’s.

Hallmark recently announced a line of cards for gay and lesbian couples. While gay marriages aren’t recognized in most states, many couples celebrate commitment ceremonies with family and friends. A card of such nature would be useful and appropriate for these occasions. At least that’s what Hallmark think.

So, yeah. As you guys can tell from yesterday's post, this past weekend was overwhelming. Busy. And incredibly fun. In particular, the shower was the highlight of my weekend.My aunt and maid of honor hosted the shower at my aunt's house. Sweets dropped my mom off early, so she could help them get ready.

After my pervious two posts, regarding children, as my degree course is only 3 years long, we have decided as a couple to try for our first child in the next two/three years then I’ll take a year out and then find a job.

Weekend UpdateThursday PM: Meet with caterer. Finalize menu. In a two-hour meeting. Before dinner. Go home with take-out in hand. Collapse knowing a full weekend is ahead.Friday: Leave house at 8:30AM. Do not return until 7:30PM. Attend hair stylist meeting for mother of the bride.

Unlike the days of yore teen parents aren’t that uncommon, and more and more these days you will see young teenaged parents. It might have been the norm in the dark- and the middle ages but it definitely wasn’t the case about twenty years back.
