Can’t you tell I’m UBER EXCITED. GIRL FOOLISH EXCITED! I wish all my weekends were as sweet as this past. It seems as though I’d have to move back to DC to enjoy these moments. So many last minute beautiful things occurred in the last few days.

The first cooking shows I ever watched were the ones that used to air on Saturday mornings or early afternoon on public television. There was the “Frugal Gourmet,” Jeff Smith; amiable Cajun Justin Wilson, and even Brother Domenic, a genuine monk who baked bread.

It was fun to take the train into the "city".

The bubbly Emmy winning talk show host is having surgery but it’s not as serious as reports suggest, according to her representative.

Nothing's funnier than an unintentionally phallic moment, especially when it comes from the ever peppy Rachel Ray. On yesterday's episode of her talk show, our ever enthusiastic hostess welcomed a guest onto the program who revealed her very special way of removing corn silk.

I think my prayers have FINALLY been answered. Chipmunk-like cooking personality Rachel Ray will not be able to speak for TWO MONTHS due to throat surgery. Apparently she used to be quite the heavy smoker, and her doctor found a growth near her layrnx, which, of course is awful and scary and we wish her well.
