Freebie

A freebie is something that is distributed or otherwise given free of charge. You will have the peanut gallery chime in saying, "Nothing in life is ever free!" They may point out that although you went to the sporting event and caught the Nerf football and got to keep it, you indeed paid the ticket price to get in.

The way marketing is done today, it is a very popular concept and tactic to throw in a freebie or two. That is the bait. When you see a sign at the side of the road advertising a freebie, does your foot get magnetized to the break or get heavier on the accelerator? Your attraction to a freebie says one of two things about you: you're either frugal or a sucker!

So many things come free today from alarm systems to a free online people search. You decide if it's worth it. They say all the best things in life are free, but the best things require effort.

Bloggers speaking about freebies can be viewed for free at sites like thefreebieblogger and ricksfreestuff.
