It was about 11am before my FIL showed up so I managed to get a nice Sunday morning under my belt, free of hassle and noise. Gail was out the door before 8am to a special photography course on lighting, so I had an excellent breakfast of coffee and bagels with my wee girl while watching a cartoon.

Earlier this week I saw a poster for Going Underground – the Glasgow Subway Festival in the Kelvinbridge station. Intrigued, I picked up a pamphlet. The festival, I learned, would feature performances at various subway stations including tango dancing, beatboxing, acrobatics and falconry.

Dubai, on top of everything else, has the newest, most modern and beautiful subway in the world! Glasgow, meanwhile, has the oldest subway system in the world and this is what it looks like now and also back then when it was a technological marvel!
