Going Green
Okay, so you've tried everything from exchanging your shotgun for a pellet gun and saving all your plastic bags from the grocery store in hopes of "going green." Well, now it's time to really go green and make a real difference for our environment. The "Going Green" movement is officially here.
Here are a few tips to help you go green that actually will help the environment:
Find a friend to carpool to work with. You can split the price of gas and use half the amount of fuel! If you can't find anyone to carpool with, try biking instead of driving, if that's a possibility.
You can recycle your glass, metal, and paper. This is a great way to help the environment. Furthermore, purchase only products made of recycled paper—and boycott those products that aren't!
Try your hand at gardening and reap the benefits of eating organic food without all the chemicals and preservatives. You won't regret it!
And finally, go out and plant a tree! Whether in your own yard or somewhere else where you have permission to plant, the world could always use another tree!
Bloggers speaking about going green can be found at sites like easywaystogogreen and greenearthcommunity.
