HI tech
Hi-tech (or High-Tech) is a phrase that originated in the 1950s and refers to the most advanced, cutting edge technology available in a time period. Because technologies are continually advancing, growing, changing and evolving, examples of 'hi-tech' also change with time. A high-tech gizmo in 1959 is obsolete or low-tech by 1969, let alone by 2009! Because it is not a clearly defined term, hi-tech is used regularly to hype any shiny new tech product to hit the market.
Like other Technology and Tech terms, Hi-Tech is widely used throughout the blogosphere, generally referring to computers, the internet and an entire array of electronic devices, gadgets and gizmos. Hi-Tech blogs can include new product reviews, debate on emerging technologies, research, and processes, as well as general news and opinion pertaining to technology.
Some blogs using "hi-tech" or "high-tech" as tags include zmogo.com, gadgetsblog.org, and gizmodo.com.
