Hair Loss

Hair loss also commonly known as baldness, is defined by the Mayo Clinic as "excessive hair loss from your scalp and can be the result of heredity, certain medications or an underlying medical condition. Anyone — men, women and children — can experience hair loss."

While there isn't a surefire cure for hair loss, people who suffer from baldness can take a variety of drugs to help try to stimulate hair growth. Some of these include well-known products such as Dritho-Scalp, Propecia, and Rogaine. Another option is hair transplant surgery and scalp reduction which can help fill in the locations where hair no longer grows.

Of course, the cheapest ways to deal with hair loss are to either purchase a wig or hairpiece which covers the spot in a way a person can feel confident about their selection or just go for the totally shaven look, a la former movie and television star of the late 20th Century, Telly Savalas.
