Brew day #1 for 2008, An IPA.

Because I’ve been told that whole wort boils are much better for your brew than boiling a few gallons and then adding the remaining in cool water. So what does this have to do with a turkey fryer? It’s very difficult to boil a whole batch of beer on the stove (pot too big).

Eat whale and save the planet
http://www.metafilter.com/ 69597/ Eat-whale-and-save-the-planet34 comments If you've seen clips of Bo Diddley performances from the early 60s, you'll surely have noticed the presence of one or more female guitarists on stage, churning out that chunky six-string rhythm alongside the esteemed Mr. Diddley. Harpoon Munich Dark
http://www.sevenpack.net/ ?p=1497This is another beer from our friends at the Beer of the Month Club. Honestly, I’m surprised that we haven’t reviewed this beer yet here on SevenPack. I’ve certainly had it before, on several occasion. But, we’ve never gotten around to putting it up, so this seems as good an opportunity as ever! The Munich Dark pours a very dark brown with a paper-thin caramel head.

For those of you who do not have the best geography skills, the Firth of Forth is actually the name of the estuary (or firth) of Scotland’s River Forth near Edinburgh.
