Home Depot was founded in 1978 by Arthur Blank and Bernie Marcus. They, along with Ken Langone and Pat Farrah, wanted to offer a one-stop shop for people who are do-it-yourself types. In 1979, Home Depot opened its first two retail stores, 60,000 square feet each, in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, Home Depot's growth has continued at a rapid pace.

As of 2008, Home Depot has approximately 2,000 stores, averaging over 100,000 square feet in size, and can be found in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam.

Home Depot is currently headquartered in Vinings, Georgia.

I just got one of these. I got a conversion 24 3/4 because I have short stubby fingers. I gambled on 11/16 because that is what I found in the showcase - it is very thin but even wider than I expected. I am waiting on tuners before I mount it, so we will see. It seems very nice now, but I guess only playing will ...

Ive attached a couple photos of the body. I believe it came from Ben @ Reddirt Guitars (hes an active member on the Reranch forum). I know that is probably tough to tell from these photos alone, but Im hoping someone could give me their opinion on this body (i.e. if its going to make a decent build). Any feedback ...

  • split a extra wide fender humbucker?

    Telecaster Guitar ForumAuthority Authority: 175
The problem with splitting a WRHB is that three of the screws on each coil are "under the cover" and make for a very weak, anemic sounding coil split. You may need to lower the exposed screws to match the covered ones. The re-issue WRHBs use bar magnets under the coils so its not too bad a mismatch when splitting, but ...

  • Mustang Neck

    Telecaster Guitar ForumAuthority Authority: 175
You may be able to fit a Mustang neck on a Telecaster and get it to intonate, but the saddles will have to be moved quite a bit towards the neck. And from my experience, the saddles would probably be hitting the bridge pickup before they were intonated properly.

  • Oak and/or Redwood Neck?

    Telecaster Guitar ForumAuthority Authority: 175
Ive heard of people cutting the oak into 3 peices for a neck and spinning the middle peice around so its a 3 peice for strength, but you couled put rosewood in between the 3 peices. it should be strong enough but hopefully one of the more experianced guys drop there 2 cents in because they know way more than i do!

    Telecaster Guitar ForumAuthority Authority: 175
If you can, go for a Makita, DeWalt, or Bosch (they will all last far longer than a B&D) and they can be had from many so called trade shops (screwfix, toolstation, CPC and such)
